Spectators: 7960 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stewart Bailey started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Hank Hauschildt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pearce Awage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Kybongs's goal looked a bit too open when Hank Hauschildt came free, but Pearce Awage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stewart Bailey came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Kybongs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stewart Bailey couldn't finish the play. Pearce Awage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doyle Feutrill in the 16th minute of the match. Pearce Awage didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hank Hauschildt went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pearce Awage didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doyle Feutrill went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Kybongs's goal looked a bit too open when Doyle Feutrill came free, but Pearce Awage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Quincy Freeman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kybongs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marrawah the free kick. A collision led to Kybongs getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Quincy Freeman hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Herbert Paddle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes of play, Marrawah's Amos Spinder made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pearce Awage was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hank Hauschildt scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pearce Awage, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pearce Awage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doyle Feutrill in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hank Hauschildt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Laurence Wakefield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pearce Awage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hank Hauschildt, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pearce Awage made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Amos Spinder sent off a good shot on target. Pearce Awage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doyle Feutrill in the 62nd minute of play. Kybongs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Doyle Feutrill scored to the left of an out of position Pearce Awage, making the score, 0-5. Pearce Awage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hank Hauschildt, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Herbert Paddle fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kybongs's protests and gave Herbert Paddle a yellow card for diving instead. Doyle Feutrill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Antony Mcjunkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Kybongs's Rodd Lord nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauder Shearn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The Marrawah fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Marrawah's Amos Spinder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th minute, Doyle Feutrill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pearce Awage was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Pearce Awage successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
