The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 13 minutes of play, The Shadows's Bruno Mcjunkins made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iggi Wakefield was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iggi Wakefield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darley Adamson went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Darley Adamson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iggi Wakefield came out and tried to block the shot, but Darley Adamson slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darley Adamson in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iggi Wakefield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laugi's Iggi Wakefield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Laugi from getting a goal against them. Darley Adamson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Logan Aliendi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Earl Mcvey skillfully saved the ball. In the 37th minute Darley Adamson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iggi Wakefield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When The Shadows's Bruno Mcjunkins in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iggi Wakefield made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Earl Mcvey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Rhoades in the 81st minute. When Darley Adamson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the The Shadows fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darley Adamson couldn't finish the play. The Shadows made a substitution. Barnard Rafferty replaced Bert Schulzte. Iggi Wakefield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darley Adamson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Darley Adamson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laugi's Iggi Wakefield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that The Shadows were the better team. The Shadows's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
