Amos Spinders short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Bishop Burmeister to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amos Spinder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute Albert Angell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauder Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Adam Dale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lauder Shearn. Marrawah's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Dale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marrawah's Doyle Feutrill got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bishop Burmeister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Hauschildt in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Hank Hauschildt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bishop Burmeister, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Doyle Feutrill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marrawah's supporters rose to their feet, but Doyle Feutrill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bishop Burmeister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bishop Burmeister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doyle Feutrill in the 20th minute of play. Lauder Shearn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Dale, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Hank Hauschildt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bishop Burmeister having to interfere. Bishop Burmeister didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurence Wakefield during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Marrawah getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Laurence Wakefield hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the game, Amos Spinder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bishop Burmeister was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lauder Shearn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Dale in the 47th minute of play.

Adam Dale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauder Shearn came out and tried to block the shot, but Adam Dale slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 52nd minute. Jaffery Simpson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Albert Angell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauder Shearn was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Hank Hauschildt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bishop Burmeister read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Dale got free with Lauder Shearn in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 played minutes, Wowagin's Murdock Willding shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lauder Shearn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wowagin reached it. Wowagin's Bishop Burmeister played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Spinder in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wowagin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Doyle Feutrill was slow to take the kick. During this time Marrawah's players had a chance to rest. If Amos Spinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bishop Burmeister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Hauschildt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Hank Hauschildt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bishop Burmeister was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Bishop Burmeister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Hauschildt in the 89th minute of play. Marrawah's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
