After 2 played minutes Marrawah got a freekick which was hit by Gregg Phillips. After 3 played minutes Ocean Pacific got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Oreilly. After a rather tough play, Marrawah's Brye Dollymore got a free kick in the 6th minute. Bray Grigson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lauder Shearn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Spinder in the 17th minute of play forced Ocean Pacific's goalkeeper Irving Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Marrawah getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Laurence Wakefield hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Amos Spinder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irving Turnbull. Ocean Pacific's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amos Spinder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ocean Pacific were furious when Barth Willding was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ocean Pacific fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Doyle Feutrill placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 36th minute, Hank Hauschildt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marrawah fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Marrawah booed when Ocean Pacific was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Oreilly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hank Hauschildt made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Marrawah booed when Ocean Pacific was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jemmett Knevett didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Hauschildt in the 52nd minute of play forced Ocean Pacific's goalkeeper Irving Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Irving Turnbull successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 57th minute, Brye Dollymore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Todd Natt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ocean Pacific's supporters rose to their feet, but Todd Natt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauder Shearn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Hauschildt in the 60th minute of play forced Ocean Pacific's goalkeeper Irving Turnbull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brye Dollymore hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Todd Natt, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lauder Shearn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bray Grigson in the 64th minute of the match. Everett Rowdon struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Lauder Shearn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ocean Pacific. If Bray Grigson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Marrawah's Amos Spinder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irving Turnbull made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 90 played minutes Ocean Pacific got a freekick which was hit by Murphy Adamson. The Ocean Pacific fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Marrawah were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
