Ringo Limmer's late challenge caught a Aitkenvale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iggi Burton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaffery Simpson in the 34th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Corder Travers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Aitkenvale's Edison Alchin got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corder Travers to make the kick off. The supporters of Wowagin booed when Aitkenvale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bishop Groves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iggi Burton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Dale in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corder Travers in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bishop Burmeister saved Wowagin from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Fletcher Tupman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aitkenvale's supporters rose to their feet, but Fletcher Tupman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bishop Burmeister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
