Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bart Ludwick took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Dagan Delahide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley Clarks short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Lorimer Gissane to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brook Bonham in the 6th minute of play forced Caringbah's goalkeeper Lorimer Gissane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathaniel Favas during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nathaniel Favas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Lorimer Gissane made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Bradley Clark sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the game, Prospect's Bradley Clark nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorimer Gissane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Prospect was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagan Delahide to maneuver through the defense. When Bart Ludwick came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Caringbah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Ludwick couldn't finish the play. Lorimer Gissane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradley Clark in the 20th minute. After 23 played minutes Prospect got a freekick which was hit by Dwight Sayner. In the 24th minute, Bart Ludwick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Parker Bostock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prospect's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caringbah the free kick. After 25 played minutes Prospect got a freekick which was hit by Parker Bostock. If Bart Ludwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Dwight Sayner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorimer Gissane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Prospect getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bradley Clark hit a great ball. When Navin Borserio fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caringbah's protests and gave Navin Borserio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Prospect booed when Caringbah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Navin Borserio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Nilson Cudmore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prospect's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Cudmore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Bradley Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorimer Gissane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Brook Bonham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lorimer Gissane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley Clark in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Dwight Sayner notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Caringbah's Lorimer Gissane. Lorimer Gissane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 72 minutes, Dagan Delahide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prospect's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagan Delahide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Caringbah's Nathaniel Favas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the match, Caringbah's Bart Ludwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norman Reiter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lorimer Gissane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Sayner, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Caringbah's Bart Ludwick got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 95th minute, Dagan Delahide ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorimer Gissane was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Prospect's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
