Jared Hunter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Ludwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Jayden Howie fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodbury's protests and gave Jayden Howie a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Woodbury's Jayden Howie got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Antony Schonke came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Caringbah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Schonke couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Jayden Howie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woodbury fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jared Hunter came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Caringbah's Nathaniel Favas. But to his dismay, Nathaniel Favas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lorimer Gissane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Turnor, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jayden Howie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lorimer Gissane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Antony Schonke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caringbah's supporters rose to their feet, but Antony Schonke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jared Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bart Ludwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Caringbah's Bart Ludwick got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bart Ludwick received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jared Hunter came out and tried to block the shot, but Bart Ludwick slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute, Bart Ludwick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nathaniel Favas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Bart Ludwick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caringbah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Ludwick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Bart Ludwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antony Schonke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jared Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antony Schonke kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bart Ludwick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jared Hunter having to make a save.
