The crowd rose to their feet as Ridgley's Jacob Connolly slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murdock Reisz. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Murdock Reisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Renny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Renny in the 17th minute of play. Martin Legg came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Rutgers Utd's Bradford Breasley. But to his dismay, Bradford Breasley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 30th minute Bryden Miels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Legg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Matthias Renny kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Murdock Reisz. That made the score 4-1 in the 32 minute of play. Martin Legg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Allen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Al Allen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Legg was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Earnest Algoud got free with Murdock Reisz in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Connolly in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goalkeeper Murdock Reisz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthias Renny. 44 minutes into the game, Nathan Prior was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ridgley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rutgers Utd the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bryden Miels stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Ridgley. Jacob Connolly stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Murdock Reisz. 5-2. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Renny in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Bryden Miels notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Ridgley's Martin Legg. Martin Legg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Renny came free, but Murdock Reisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murdock Reisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Connolly, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Martin Legg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Allen in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Rutgers Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Nolan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rutgers Utd getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Al Allen hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes, Ridgley's Fleming Ross shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Murdock Reisz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ridgley reached it. 81 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Renny came free, but Murdock Reisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Jacob Connolly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. Ridgley walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
