Birrell Tebby didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Woodbury's Jayden Howie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Murdock Reisz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Woodbury! The goalkeeper, Jared Hunter, was totally fooled by Rutgers Utd's Brook Munster, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jared Hunter made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Bryden Miels sent off a good shot on target. Jared Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Allen in the 23rd minute of the match. Jared Hunter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryden Miels in the 24th minute. Woodbury's Jared Hunter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Woodbury from getting a goal against them. Jared Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brook Munster in the 30th minute of the match. Jared Hunter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jayden Howie was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Rutgers Utd's Al Allen made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jared Hunter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Al Allen took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jared Hunter. Jared Hunter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Al Allen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Murdock Reisz was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Bock Turnor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bock Turnor really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Jayden Howie's late challenge caught a Rutgers Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jayden Howie helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Woodbury got a freekick which was hit by Jayden Howie. In the 73rd minute Al Allen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Woodbury's Jared Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryden Miels in the 75th minute of play. Murdock Reisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Turnor, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradford Breasley during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jared Hunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryden Miels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Bryden Miels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jared Hunter. Woodbury's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryden Miels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Jared Hunter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Howard in the 93rd minute of play. Rutgers Utd walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
