The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Philip Jury made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Ike Pears sent off a good shot on target. Disco Inferno FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stan Mackney in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Stan Mackney got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Philip Jury quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Disco Inferno FC's Ethan Galvin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Rick Quinane scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philip Jury, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cosmic Pigeons's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Remy Neich scored to the left of an out of position Philip Jury, making the score, 3-0. Philip Jury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Lundkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 26 played minutes Cosmic Pigeons got a freekick which was hit by Drew Keato. Philip Jury was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Ike Pears capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ike Pears really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Philip Jury came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Disco Inferno FC's Ike Pears. But to his dismay, Ike Pears quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Cosmic Pigeons's Philip Jury proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Cosmic Pigeons from getting a goal against them. Philip Jury took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ike Pears, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Ike Pears ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Jury was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. With a little luck, Cosmic Pigeons's Philip Jury got control of the ball when Ike Pears tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute of the match, Ike Pears got a very nice opportunity to score, but Philip Jury was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Greger Lundkvist in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Jury saved Cosmic Pigeons from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Rick Quinane notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Cosmic Pigeons's Philip Jury. Philip Jury was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Cosmic Pigeons defense, Rick Quinane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Jury. The Cosmic Pigeons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Jury should have stopped the shot. Dalwood Leach did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 9-1 to the left of a surprised Dale Gracey 64 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cosmic Pigeons getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Irwin Gilding hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Greger Lundkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Jury was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-1. Marco Materazzi charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Materazzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dale Gracey acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Payton Todman. There was no doubt that Disco Inferno FC were the better team. Disco Inferno FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
