Spectators: 9029 (Terracing: 6920, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 9) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Randolph Jobson got the match started through his kick off. David Bîlbă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bill Smalley fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knaggel FC's protests and gave Bill Smalley a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mellis booed when Knaggel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Smalley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mellis's Henry Fitzsimmons broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 19 minutes into the game, Bengt-Åke Kvist lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Vasile Ciolac. When Arne Hands fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellis's protests and gave Arne Hands a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Mellis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Hands to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mellis getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Arne Hands hit a great ball. Selim Tuğbay came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Mellis's David Bîlbă. But to his dismay, David Bîlbă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bengt-Åke Kvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vasile Ciolac read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Mellis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Hands to maneuver through the defense. If Bengt-Åke Kvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Bîlbă in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selim Tuğbay saved Knaggel FC from getting behind. Selim Tuğbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Bîlbă, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Vasile Ciolac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphry Chant in the 46th minute of play. Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Vasile Ciolac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphry Chant in the 51st minute of play. Arne Hands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selim Tuğbay having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Mellis got a freekick which was hit by David Bîlbă. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellis's goalkeeper Vasile Ciolac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Knaggel FC's attack was well implemented in the 60th minute, but when Bengt-Åke Kvist was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Bîlbă in the 70th minute of play forced Knaggel FC's goalkeeper Selim Tuğbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bill Smalley kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Randolph Jobson came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Mellis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Randolph Jobson couldn't finish the play. Vasile Ciolac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Kvist in the 75th minute of play. Vasile Ciolac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humphry Chant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mellis's Vasile Ciolac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Thorne in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Humphry Chant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Vasile Ciolac was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
