Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 175) Canobolas's Nathaniel Moorby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berne Chant in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Thoona getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Berne Chant hit a great ball. Matthias Odd hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred Pincini in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nathaniel Moorby saved Canobolas from getting behind. After 21 played minutes Thoona got a freekick which was hit by Boyd Beckwith. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Thoona's goalkeeper Pearce Skurrie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Benjy Nelson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Canobolas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjy Nelson couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Thoona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Wall to maneuver through the defense. Herman Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathaniel Moorby having to interfere. In the 30th minute Berne Chant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathaniel Moorby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herman Wall charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herman Wall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Thoona got a freekick which was hit by Herman Wall. Nathaniel Moorby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Pincini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Ignacio Manuel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pearce Skurrie, passed just outside the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Thoona's goalkeeper Pearce Skurrie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irwin Thomas. In the 38th minute of the match Canobolas got a corner. Thoona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacio Manuel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Canobolas's Ignacio Manuel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pearce Skurrie in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alfred Pincini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathaniel Moorby having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Manuel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Irwin Thomas made a precise shot to the right of Pearce Skurrie. Thoona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Nathaniel Moorby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Pincini in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes Thoona's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ignacio Manuel who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Shane Warne advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-1 in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Thoona's Bruno Monson got a free kick in the 60th minute. Nathaniel Moorby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Pincini, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alfred Pincini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Nathaniel Moorby when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Shane Warne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Benjy Nelson made a precise shot to the right of Pearce Skurrie. Thoona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Benedito de Godoi hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Alfred Pincini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canobolas's Nathaniel Moorby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathaniel Moorby having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Thoona's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Manuel came free, but Pearce Skurrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Canobolas getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cooper Dry hit a great ball. Cooper Dry kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Alfred Pincini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nathaniel Moorby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Pincini's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Canobolas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Thoona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
