After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Neal Weatherby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie Magpies's supporters rose to their feet, but Neal Weatherby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Castner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steven Chaptal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Castner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fabian Castner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Mccartan in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Neal Weatherby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Castner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the The Avengers FC defense, Rick Souness kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Castner. The The Avengers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Castner should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Steven Chaptal made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Castner. The Avengers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After some careless play in the The Avengers FC defense, Steven Chaptal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Castner. The The Avengers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Castner should have stopped the shot. Steven Chaptal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Neal Weatherby took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Castner. Fabian Castner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Elderslie Magpies's Earl Prince was substituted for Gilberto Fernandes. The Avengers FC's Fabian Castner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save The Avengers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd play minute Ovidio Etxekopar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabian Castner. 0-9. If Steven Chaptal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Neal Weatherby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Castner. The Avengers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neal Weatherby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. Fabian Castner was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Neal Weatherby capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Neal Weatherby really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. In the 83rd match minute, The Avengers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Fraser to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Neal Weatherby took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Fabian Castner to make any attempt to save it. 92 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Earl Prince nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
