The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quincy Slattery in the 3rd minute of play forced Perth Glory's goalkeeper Jaffery Hayward to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, Frenchville Sports Club's Quincy Slattery dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 7th minute, Quincy Slattery fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Csaba Baló kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Blestowe came free, but Edvaldo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Berke Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaffery Hayward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Starri Ööpik made a precise shot to the right of Jaffery Hayward. Perth Glory's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Frenchville Sports Club's Truls Roll got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Berke Rush's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaffery Hayward was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Perth Glory's goalkeeper Jaffery Hayward had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Starri Ööpik. In the 29thth minute of the game Haşmet Aktekin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frenchville Sports Club's Edvaldo Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frenchville Sports Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alan Blestowe was slow to take the kick. During this time Perth Glory's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cheng Qi Hao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Frenchville Sports Club's Edvaldo Gaspar did a great save. Quincy Slattery took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaffery Hayward. Jaffery Hayward dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Starri Ööpik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Alan Blestowe got a free kick in the 50th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Letsch in the 56th minute of play forced Frenchville Sports Club's goalkeeper Edvaldo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Quincy Slattery notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Perth Glory's Jaffery Hayward. Jaffery Hayward was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's goal looked a bit too open when Haşmet Aktekin came free, but Edvaldo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berke Rush received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jaffery Hayward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Alan Blestowe got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Berke Rush ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaffery Hayward was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 78 minutes, Starri Ööpik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frenchville Sports Club and the Perth Glory players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Frenchville Sports Club got a freekick which was hit by Starri Ööpik. In the 80th minute Berke Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaffery Hayward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvaldo Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheng Qi Hao in the 95th minute of play. Frenchville Sports Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
