Spectators: 9225 (Terracing: 6920, Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 183) Danton Knaack started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the game, Lawrence Spinder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perth Glory's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Avengers FC the free kick. After 7 played minutes Perth Glory got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Spinder. Fabian Castner came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Perth Glory's Aaron Orvad. But to his dismay, Aaron Orvad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Aaron Orvad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Fabian Castner made a huge save. Jaffery Hayward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Merz in the 16th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Perth Glory got a freekick which was hit by Blade Hanslow. Perth Glory's Jaffery Hayward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Crawford Wharton in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of The Avengers FC booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Minter didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Perth Glory getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Howie Merz hit a great ball. In the 31st match minute, The Avengers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Duggan to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match, Danton Knaack tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabian Castner saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 34th match minute, The Avengers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Crawford Wharton to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Orvad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabian Castner firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, Perth Glory's Fabian Castner threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danton Knaack, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Perth Glory getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Danton Knaack hit a great ball. When The Avengers FC's Crawford Wharton in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Perth Glory's goalie prevented a goal. In the 59th minute Crawford Wharton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaffery Hayward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Orvad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, The Avengers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Orvad came free, but Fabian Castner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Avengers FC's John Duggan got a free kick in the 71st minute. 81 minutes into the match, Aaron Orvad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Castner. The Avengers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Orvad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 84th minute, Murphy Beckwith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perth Glory's Jaffery Hayward proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Perth Glory from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Perth Glory fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Avengers FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
