The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Astrada got free with Ponciano Climent in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Crusaders's Eustacio Astrada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ponciano Climent. Ponciano Climent yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Crusaders's Eustacio Astrada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ponciano Climent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ridgley's Ponciano Climent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Ridgley from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute of the match, Eustacio Astrada got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ponciano Climent was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ponciano Climent made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Stavros Keratomenos sent off a good shot on target. When Bleyd Babbage came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ridgley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bleyd Babbage couldn't finish the play. Stavros Keratomenos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ponciano Climent having to interfere. When Umberto do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ridgley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto do Valle couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Suavi Turhan notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Ridgley's Ponciano Climent. Ponciano Climent was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ponciano Climent made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Todd Morrison sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Ridgley's Ponciano Climent got control of the ball when Todd Morrison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Humphrey Virgin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ponciano Climent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphrey Virgin in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Umberto do Valle to make the kick off. Ponciano Climent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humphrey Virgin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Astrada in the 56th minute of play forced Ridgley's goalkeeper Ponciano Climent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponciano Climent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suavi Turhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Stavros Keratomenos scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ponciano Climent, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute Eustacio Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ponciano Climent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ridgley's Rusty Huntington got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 67 played minutes Crusaders got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Keratomenos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suavi Turhan in the 69th minute of play forced Ridgley's goalkeeper Ponciano Climent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponciano Climent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Keane in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ridgley's goalkeeper Ponciano Climent, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humphrey Virgin in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ponciano Climent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th match minute, Ridgley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto do Valle to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Suavi Turhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ponciano Climent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ponciano Climent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nath Hislop in the 82nd minute of the match. When Crusaders's Eustacio Astrada in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 86 minutes of play, Crusaders's Nath Hislop made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ponciano Climent was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Ridgley's goal looked a bit too open when Suavi Turhan came free, but Ponciano Climent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ponciano Climent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nath Hislop in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 92nd minute of play forced Ridgley's goalkeeper Ponciano Climent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Crusaders's Nath Hislop nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ponciano Climent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. There was no doubt that Crusaders were the better team. Crusaders's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
