The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Silvério Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Wei Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lei Wei Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Pinhal in the 4th minute of the match. Ayla FC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Abbotsford FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Larry Knevett took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Corbu in the 12th minute of play forced Ayla FC's goalkeeper Nilson Fraser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Silvério Pinhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Wei Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Ayla FC's Larry Knevett to fire away a dangerous shot which Lei Wei Lin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Denny Commons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Abbas Ağayarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denny Commons in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilson Fraser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abbotsford FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pierre Haeberle in the 26th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Su Xing Jie heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Abbas Ağayarov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Fraser having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rob Porteus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lei Wei Lin was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Silvério Pinhal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lei Wei Lin. Abbotsford FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Pinhal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhou Zhen Zhen in the 41st minute of play forced Ayla FC's goalkeeper Nilson Fraser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lei Wei Lin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Pinhal in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ayla FC's Brayden Duggan got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience was convinced that Silvério Pinhal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lei Wei Lin was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denny Commons to strike the kick off in the second half. Nilson Fraser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yakut Vecihi in the 59th minute of play. Nilson Fraser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sever Corbu in the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rob Porteus got free with Lei Wei Lin in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 minutes, Rob Porteus made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Abbotsford FC's Lei Wei Lin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rob Porteus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lei Wei Lin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nilson Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Commons, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Sever Corbu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvério Pinhals short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Lei Wei Lin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 84 minutes into the match, Ayla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Corbu came free, but Nilson Fraser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson Fraser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Commons in the 85th minute of the match. Nilson Fraser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhou Zhen Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes Abbotsford FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Larry Knevett who took care of the corner kick. Silvério Pinhal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Yakut Vecihi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ayla FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
