Douglas Christian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Bowler in the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremy Palmington got free with Connor Rouse in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Alwinton FC's Connor Rouse got control of the ball when Jeremy Palmington tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shaun Hall made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Danny Bowler. Alwinton FC's Connor Rouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Paynter in the 41st minute of play. Jeremy Palmington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Rouse having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danny Bowler to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alwinton FC's Feliberto Inge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Connor Rouse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Paynter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Bowler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douglas Christian came out and tried to block the shot, but Danny Bowler slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Alwinton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Cotterill to maneuver through the defense. When Carleton Atkin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. After 66 played minutes Adelaide got a freekick which was hit by Carleton Atkin. 67 minutes into the game, Danny Bowler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Douglas Christian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adelaide's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Danny Bowler scored to the left of an out of position Douglas Christian, making the score, 1-4. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Feliberto Inge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Douglas Christian made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Feliberto Inge sent off a good shot on target. Feliberto Inge didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-6 via right post in the game's 94th minute. Alwinton FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The Alwinton FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alwinton FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
