After a defensive mix-up in Alemoa SC's zone, Valeriy Plankin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Gaspar came out of the goal and Valeriy Plankin tried to chip the ball over his head. Volgograd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alemoa SC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Volgograd got a freekick which was hit by Valeriy Plankin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Célio de Almeida in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirill Lobanov saved Volgograd from getting behind. Sebastião Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirill Lobanov having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Egor Kibenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volgograd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriy Plankin in the 18th minute of play forced Alemoa SC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
