In the 17th minute of the match, Firman Morientes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Calistrat Madgearu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 19th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Derwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihăiţă Ilarie made a great header on MIT's corner, it was just that En Avant Nikko's Silvestre Derwin managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice moves Gösta Sellberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Calistrat Madgearu however easily saved by the left post. Silvestre Derwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Ilarie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiberiu Caramarin to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiberiu Caramarin got free with Silvestre Derwin in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, En Avant Nikko's goalkeeper Silvestre Derwin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiberiu Caramarin. Silvestre Derwin came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Caramarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. MIT made a substitution. David Tunander replaced Dorin Banu. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Souris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Orășan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Silvestre Derwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Derwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 86th minute of the match. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by En Avant Nikko's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bogdan Bucataru was slow to take the kick. During this time MIT's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MIT's Radu Sărăroiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Silvestre Derwin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tiberiu Caramarin scored 1-5 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Derwin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, En Avant Nikko's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Silvestre Derwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to En Avant Nikko getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Omer Vandevoorde hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MIT had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
