Fermín Recciuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Tiberiu Caramarin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ysidro Colimán to make any attempt to save it. 9 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Caramarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ysidro Colimán. Deportes Vαldiviα's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiberiu Caramarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Caramarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysidro Colimán was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Ysidro Colimán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Deportes Vαldiviα's zone, Mihăiţă Ilarie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 28th minute MIT were awarded a corner. Mihăiţă Ilarie went to the cornerflag to take it. Ivan Vâtcă was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Tiberiu Caramarin came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Caramarin couldn't finish the play. Ysidro Colimán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 41st minute of the match. Tiberiu Caramarins short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Ysidro Colimán to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eufrasio Najera to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysidro Colimán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Caramarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ysidro Colimán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ysidro Colimán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 58th minute of play. MIT's Ivan Vâtcă quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fermín Recciuc, made in the 60th minute of the game. Deportes Vαldiviα's Ysidro Colimán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Seremet in the 63rd minute of play. In the 71st minute, Tiberiu Caramarin made a precise shot to the right of Ysidro Colimán. Deportes Vαldiviα's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. MIT's David Tunander was substituted for Dorin Banu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Caramarin in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ysidro Colimán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ysidro Colimán made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. MIT made a substitution. Bogdan Bucataru replaced Mihăiţă Ilarie. Diego Peragallo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Deportes Vαldiviα was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Peragallo to maneuver through the defense. Tiberiu Caramarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ysidro Colimán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiberiu Caramarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Deportes Vαldiviα's Ysidro Colimán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 87th minute of play. Ysidro Colimán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportes Vαldiviα's goalkeeper Ysidro Colimán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fermín Recciuc hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MIT fully deserved thier win.
