Elias Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Abad having to interfere. In the 14th minute Aitor Branca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tincho Palermo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Aitor Branca made the kick off in the second half. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Los Materos FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
