Ismael Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Urbasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Thomas Hellbom hit a great ball. Laurgain Ruiz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Nikola came out and tried to block the shot, but Laurgain Ruiz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Mário Mattos in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Punk Fiction's Salvador Giraldo. When Celestino Urbasa came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Punk Fiction fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Urbasa couldn't finish the play. Punk Fiction's Clemente Nikola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Punk Fiction from getting a goal against them. Clemente Nikola was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Evaristo Castro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evaristo Castro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Ismael Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Urbasa in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
