Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Hansjörg Wastl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svend Betz in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Svend Betz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svend Betz might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hansjörg Wastl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Svend Betz ran back to his position shaking his head. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Svend Betz made a kick off. Hansjörg Wastl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svend Betz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
