The supporters of Aston Birra F.C. booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Artaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Pinto in the 14th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Sanchez-Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Goicoechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Aston Birra F.C.'s goalkeeper Luciano Sanchez-Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Nevada. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aston Birra F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciro Ferdinand was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Luciano Sanchez-Garcia made a huge save. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Ted in the 28th minute of the match. Zeledon Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Goicoechea got free with Luciano Sanchez-Garcia in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Sanchez-Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 34th minute of play. Luciano Sanchez-Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Anier Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Erramu. Anier Ted in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pankracy Glogowski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 62nd minute, Paolo Caradaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Cordarin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Anier Ted kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Luciano Sanchez-Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 67th minute of the match. Luciano Sanchez-Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
