Martin fierro's Timoteo Cerilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Prejun in the 30th minute of play. In the 38th minute, CLUB ATLETICO RACING's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Damaso Hermelando fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 40 minutes into the game, Albano Intxixu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CLUB ATLETICO RACING's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martin fierro the free kick. The supporters of Martin fierro booed when CLUB ATLETICO RACING was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Feo's late challenge caught a CLUB ATLETICO RACING's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Feo helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Martin fierro got a freekick which was hit by Placido Feo. In the 78th minute of the match, Clemente Mateus got a very nice opportunity to score, but Timoteo Cerilo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Rafael Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. In the 95th minute, Rafael Ralondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CLUB ATLETICO RACING fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Rafael Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The CLUB ATLETICO RACING supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CLUB ATLETICO RACING would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
