After a rather tough play, FC Westsachsen's Wastl Morawitz got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 8th minute Hector Käppele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matvey Kartashev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matvey Kartashev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Käppele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raiko Gudat in the 12th minute of play forced Grozny FC's goalkeeper Matvey Kartashev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ole Regitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Silin in the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, FC Westsachsen's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Silin came free, but Ole Regitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ole Regitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Silin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrey Berketov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matvey Kartashev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raiko Gudat, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Wastl Morawitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matvey Kartashev. Grozny FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wastl Morawitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimir Silin in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ole Regitz saved FC Westsachsen from getting behind. Hector Käppele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A long shot from Georgiy Rybakov in the 45th minute of play was well struck, but Ole Regitz made a really good save at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Matvey Kartashev made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Raiko Gudat sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georgiy Rybakov during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Grozny FC got a freekick which was hit by Georgiy Rybakov. Matvey Kartashev had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hector Käppele from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Vladimir Silin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ole Regitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grozny FC. Vladimir Silin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Regitz having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play Grozny FC's Georgiy Rybakov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Grozny FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Georgiy Rybakov hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grozny FC's zone, Dankward Grimm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matvey Kartashev came out of the goal and Dankward Grimm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ole Regitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrey Berketov in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match, Raiko Gudat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matvey Kartashev was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Grozny FC's Matvey Kartashev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Käppele in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Grozny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Käppele came free, but Matvey Kartashev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matvey Kartashev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Käppele in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Westsachsen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
