Paul Ramon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peru's Paul Ramon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute Bartolo Basualdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ramon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peru fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Popolizio FBC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
