Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Svend Betz kicked off to start the match. Emil Cvitanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svend Betz, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 7th minute Nikola Vlašić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Elmhuus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luka Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Elmhuus having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Vlašić in the 11th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Svend Betz came free, but Emil Cvitanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paw Carbac in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Paw Carbac went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 25th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenni Skensved to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Antonio Perišić hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Nikola Vlašić notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Denmark's Nils Elmhuus. Nils Elmhuus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Nikola Vlašić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 37thth minute of the game Svend Betz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croatia's Emil Cvitanović was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emil Cvitanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svend Betz in the 39th minute of the match. Mauro Kotlar kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Randy Bastard. Croatia's Joško Poklepović was substituted for Nikola Vlašić. The supporters of Croatia booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Bastard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Joško Poklepović made the kick off in the second half. Emil Cvitanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svend Betz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pierre Lyngdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emil Cvitanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svend Betz in the 61st minute of the match. Svend Betz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute Svend Betz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Cvitanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's Nils Elmhuus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Emil Cvitanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svend Betz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Svend Betz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Cvitanović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Croatia made a substitution. Nikola Haramina replaced Miran Tudor. With a little luck, Denmark's Nils Elmhuus got control of the ball when Joško Poklepović tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nils Elmhuus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joško Poklepović in the 93rd minute. Martin Rana might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Cvitanović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Rana ran back to his position shaking his head. Croatia's Emil Cvitanović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rana in the 96th minute of play. The throw-in from Antonio Perišić in the 97th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Randy Bastard. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Croatia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
