Fritz Lindqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Fábio Passos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. When Dag Häll fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundborn IF's protests and gave Dag Häll a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Häll to maneuver through the defense. When Nilmar Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Jataiense Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Pereira couldn't finish the play. Fritz Lindqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Golaki Goiano's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
