Loco Malo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Jobo in the 15th minute of the match. Cleto Firmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes, Argentina's Samuel Jobo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Loco Malo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Argentina reached it. Teodosio Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. David Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Gaitan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Benedicto Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Naelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco Malo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute, Benedicto Naelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Loco Malo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Loco Malo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Naelio's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Lagrima en Jarrita booed when Argentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo-César Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lagrima en Jarrita's Ma Mo Feng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Abad. That made the score 2-2 after 45 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Naelio to make the kick off. The Argentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
