Luís Fernando de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ashley Linkletter, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of 『挑战者』上海光明队 booed when New Wave FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Jenkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Fuller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Luís de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Fuller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, 龙悦竞 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Fuller. New Wave FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 龙悦竞 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Luís Fernando de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Linkletter in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, 『挑战者』上海光明队's 邵奕浩 got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, 胡默景 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Fuller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 龙悦竞 might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Fuller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 龙悦竞 ran back to his position shaking his head. After 32 minutes of play, 『挑战者』上海光明队's Luís de Brito made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Fuller was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as 『挑战者』上海光明队's 龙悦竞 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Fuller. That made the score 4-0 after 35 minutes of play. Jonathan Fuller was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and 胡默景 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 胡默景 really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. In the 45th match minute, New Wave FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Edgson to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Fuller was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís de Brito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Jonathan Fuller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute of the match 『挑战者』上海光明队 got a corner. New Wave FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 胡默景 ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that 胡默景 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Fuller quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 『挑战者』上海光明队's Luís Fernando de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Henwood in the 56th minute of play. Jonathan Fuller came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by 『挑战者』上海光明队's Luís de Brito. But to his dismay, Luís de Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 67th minute, Ashley Linkletter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Fuller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龙悦竞, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, Nigel Jenkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Kaye kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, New Wave FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leal Novais came free, but Jonathan Fuller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Leal Novais cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Jonathan Fuller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Leal Novais managed to get in a good position for a shot. 『挑战者』上海光明队's supporters rose to their feet, but Leal Novais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Fuller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Novais in the 93rd minute of play forced New Wave FC's goalkeeper Jonathan Fuller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the 『挑战者』上海光明队 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
