In the 7th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Petrică Măcriș got a free kick in the 21st minute. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Maurin in the 23rd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Diablofaryd F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wagner Kill. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Agostini got free with Branislav Velchevski in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frankie McFrank made in the 32nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Valentín Laredo immediately put the ball in play. Branislav Velchevski was a little too slow when Wagner Kill got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wagner Kill in the 38th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Diablofaryd F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Grzegorz Szamotulski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Diablofaryd F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petrică Măcriș took the corner. After the first half ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wagner Kill made a kick off. In the 57th minute Wagner Kill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wagner Kill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grzegorz Szamotulski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Monclús could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Grzegorz Szamotulski made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
