The audience was convinced that Julio Kemen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amauri Félix was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After 11 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Quinton. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Siqueira in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Ove Malm got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Julio Kemen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amauri Félix. In the 29th minute Danilo Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Gomesano made in the 31st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Julio Kemen however managed to control. In the 34th minute of the match Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a corner. Consejo del Mate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Israel Vidal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Consejo del Mate from getting a goal against them. Julio Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes of play, Consejo del Mate's Julio Kemen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amauri Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Freddy Bidun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Hernan Quinton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Consejo del Mate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens-Ove Malm in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Orlando Gatti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amauri Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bolo Bolaño in the 52nd minute of the match. Bolo Bolaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jens-Ove Malm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Consejo del Mate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Israel Vidal took the corner. The corner ended in Birol Celilay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti did a great save. Amauri Félix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Gomesano in the 67th minute. Amauri Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Amauri Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bolo Bolaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Quinton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Amauri Félix when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amauri Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Israel Vidal got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 93rd minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Consejo del Mate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
