Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlhami Akyazıcı in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes Consejo del Mate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olov Ahlbeck who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Petre Iftode got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 34 minutes into the match. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Quinton in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Chiuzbaian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
