Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferhat Bolat in the 8th minute of play forced U21 Iceland's goalkeeper Ágúst Vilhjálmsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Gazi Hızır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Laufarsson in the 17th minute of play. When MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Ferhat Bolat in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gazi Hızır was a little too slow when Erling Laufarsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. Erling Laufarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Engilbjartur Hallsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erling Laufarsson was the one to do the kick off. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Gazi Hızır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engilbjartur Hallsson in the 51st minute of play. The U21 Iceland fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when U21 Iceland's Friðbert Kjartansson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 55 played minutes MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Orkun Timurkan. Ingþór Jóhannsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gazi Hızır. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, U21 Iceland's Friðbert Kjartansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gazi Hızır made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Friðbert Kjartansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Friðbert Kjartansson notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Gazi Hızır. Gazi Hızır was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gazi Hızır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fenrir Ragnarsson in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Erling Laufarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gazi Hızır. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erling Laufarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. U21 Iceland's Ágúst Vilhjálmsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Iceland from getting a goal against them. Gazi Hızır didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dósóþeus Guðbjarnason went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Laufarsson came free, but Gazi Hızır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes in the game, Erling Laufarsson dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Dósóþeus Guðbjarnason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gazi Hızır. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dósóþeus Guðbjarnason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 88 minutes into the match, Erling Laufarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gazi Hızır. Gazi Hızır was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 95 minutes, Erling Laufarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Iceland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erling Laufarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Iceland fully deserved thier win.
