Patrick Jeanneret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beat Hagenbuch might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timo-Fabian Rogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beat Hagenbuch ran back to his position shaking his head. Yannick Walpert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo-Fabian Rogowski made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Romero Affolter sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Polonia Bytom's zone, Beat Hagenbuch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timo-Fabian Rogowski came out of the goal and Beat Hagenbuch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Elia Vonrotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo-Fabian Rogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Stadtclub's Elia Vonrotz has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 36th minute. Yannick Walpert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Timo-Fabian Rogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beat Hagenbuch took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timo-Fabian Rogowski. Timo-Fabian Rogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Chodzinski was the one to do the kick off. Timo-Fabian Rogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannick Walpert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beat Hagenbuch in the 53rd minute of play forced Polonia Bytom's goalkeeper Timo-Fabian Rogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Chodzinski kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Patrick Jeanneret mouthed his way into the referee's book. A well-hit corner resulted in Romero Affolter heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Jeanneret in the 68th minute of play forced Polonia Bytom's goalkeeper Timo-Fabian Rogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Beat Hagenbuch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timo-Fabian Rogowski was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Cyprian Waselewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
