The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Răzvan Necula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Necula came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Răzvan Necula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edmond Verdun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Jerardo in the 17th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Necula in the 18th minute of play. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Rameriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Wennerqvist made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Pastor Ado sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Răzvan Necula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Victorino Sandalio made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Pastor Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match, Răzvan Necula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmond Verdun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Soroca F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gustavo Tartalo hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Răzvan Necula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Errecaborda AFC's Hipolito Neron was substituted for Miguel Savion. 92 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Lano came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Valko De Hond hit a great ball. Soroca F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
