If Corneel Gielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Delamenin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martial Van Hoyvelt having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KFC Herbuchenne's Angelo Rogiers got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Robin Valckenaerts sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KFC Herbuchenne's Martial Van Hoyvelt didn't even have to move. In the 21st minute Jose Delamenin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martial Van Hoyvelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoud Valkenaers made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Wolfsem FC's Charl Ceustermans. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wart Boffin in the 27th minute of play forced KFC Herbuchenne's goalkeeper Martial Van Hoyvelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wart Boffin kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 35 played minutes KFC Herbuchenne got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Haentjens. Jose Delamenin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Martial Van Hoyvelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Goethuys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneel Gielens in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Qwinten Vercalsteren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Delamenin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the game, one of Wolfsem FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave KFC Herbuchenne a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Qwinten De Maerschalckx, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wolfsem FC's Patrick Goethuys. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Delamenin made a kick off. Patrick Goethuys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneel Gielens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KFC Herbuchenne's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Qwinten De Maerschalckx in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jose Delamenin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolfsem FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Delamenin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martial Van Hoyvelt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Corneel Gielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Goethuys was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Wart Boffin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolfsem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wart Boffin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Dre De kaiser threw the ball into play from the sideline. Wolfsem FC's Charl Ceustermans quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
