The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Glenn De Jong was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. VC Vladsloo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Piet Meersmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play, Zeemanshaard FC's Dan Skouten made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tibo Van Landeghem was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jef Van Deinze was a little too slow when Jordy Stroobans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-2. A collision led to Zeemanshaard FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Denis Meulders hit a great ball. If Denis Meulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeemanshaard FC's Jef Van Deinze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Engelborghs in the 36th minute of play. When Alexandre Engelborghs came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the VC Vladsloo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Engelborghs couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Dan Skouten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibo Van Landeghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeemanshaard FC's attentive Octave Dobbeleir managed to snatch the ball when Pierre-Paul Schepens made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. The wind increased when Dan Skouten made the kick off in the second half. Pierre-Paul Schepens kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Diederiek Van Den Wijngaert made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by VC Vladsloo's Mats Vandommele. After 59 minutes VC Vladsloo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kenn Uytdebroeck who took care of the corner kick. Zeemanshaard FC's attentive Octave Dobbeleir managed to snatch the ball when Jorden Cheepers made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Zeemanshaard FC's Dan Skouten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tibo Van Landeghem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, VC Vladsloo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Engelborghs to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Piet Meersmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jef Van Deinze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Tibo Van Landeghem successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in VC Vladsloo's zone, Denis Meulders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tibo Van Landeghem came out of the goal and Denis Meulders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorden Cheepers kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Piet Meersmans took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jef Van Deinze. Jef Van Deinze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Piet Meersmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jef Van Deinze having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Dan Lefevere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zeemanshaard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Lefevere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tibo Van Landeghem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jef Van Deinze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordy Stroobans, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Alexandre Engelborghs might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jef Van Deinze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Engelborghs ran back to his position shaking his head. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
