Bajen's Mohammed Cagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dustin Thome in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D. Bajen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Craig Rhoades was slow to take the kick. During this time El Canalla de Chicago's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Craig Rhoades almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.D. Bajen's Mohammed Cagle did a great save. Craig Rhoades's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Mohammed Cagle - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 5th minute. Brickeen Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Peck having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Lindsey in the 13th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Mohammed Cagle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonah Peck made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Brickeen Wall sent off a good shot on target. Clark Lindsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clinton Starnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jonah Peck made a huge save. Mohammed Cagle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin Thome in the 24th minute of the match. Clinton Starnes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jonah Peck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brickeen Wall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Clark Lindsey notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.D. Bajen's Mohammed Cagle. Mohammed Cagle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 34 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Clark Lindsey. Odell McPherson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jonah Peck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonah Peck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brickeen Wall in the 39th minute. Kent Carney struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mohammed Cagle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Canalla de Chicago. If Clark Lindsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. S.D. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clark Lindsey to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, S.D. Bajen's Devon Pollard got a free kick in the 50th minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.D. Bajen's zone, Leo Finn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammed Cagle came out of the goal and Leo Finn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, S.D. Bajen's Odell McPherson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonah Peck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 57 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Odell McPherson came free, but Jonah Peck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Joseph Marquez hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Dustin Thome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dustin Thome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joseph Marquez came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mohammed Cagle could save by the left post. After 68 minutes of play, El Canalla de Chicago's Clark Lindsey made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mohammed Cagle was left in no man's land by his defense there! El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Scott Souza replaced Bernie Rosales. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Scott Souza sped through S.D. Bajen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mohammed Cagle. Jonah Peck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clinton Starnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Mohammed Cagle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scott Souza. When Scott Souza came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the El Canalla de Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Scott Souza couldn't finish the play. Rudolph Thurman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Cagle having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Dustin Thome managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Dustin Thome was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammed Cagle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Canalla de Chicago walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
