Rusty Deering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Carney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes, Dustin Thome mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Canalla de Chicago and the ForestFire players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ForestFire booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dustin Thome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernest Chester hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Rusty Deering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clark Lindsey in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clark Lindsey in the 15th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Rusty Deering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonah Peck made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Whitney Pelletier sent off a good shot on target. After 17 played minutes Whitney Pelletier rounded El Canalla de Chicago's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Domenico Hickman kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Clark Lindsey came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the El Canalla de Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clark Lindsey couldn't finish the play. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dustin Thome hit a great ball. Rudolph Thurman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clark Lindsey scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rusty Deering, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Cyrus Keys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Bernie Rosales. After 48 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Clark Lindsey. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cyrus Keys to make the kick off. Rusty Deering was a little too slow when Cobi Babcock got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-2. With his leg Rusty Deering managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when El Canalla de Chicago's Clark Lindsey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rusty Deering made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Clark Lindsey sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Whitney Pelletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of ForestFire booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Carney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Kent Carney. ForestFire's Rusty Deering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Carney in the 72nd minute of play. Julian Corcoran's late challenge caught a ForestFire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Corcoran helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ForestFire booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Corcoran didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Whitney Pelletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, El Canalla de Chicago's Leo Finn seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leo Finn the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of El Canalla de Chicago protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leo Finn had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 86 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Leo Finn. When Cyrus Keys came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the ForestFire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyrus Keys couldn't finish the play. Rusty Deering made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scott Souza in the 93rd minute. After 95 minutes of play, El Canalla de Chicago's Scott Souza made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rusty Deering was left in no man's land by his defense there! El Canalla de Chicago's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
