Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Tio Lio sent off a good shot on target. Beto Montenegro took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremy Nicholas. Jeremy Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tio Lio came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jannes Ruttens could save by the left post. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Nicky Bryson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the match, Tio Lio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jannes Ruttens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 22nd minute Beto Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Bryson in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Cesario Irazu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tony Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannes Ruttens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to C. A. Pipon Pipon getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ronalds Koeman hit a great ball. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Edgardo Silva sent off a good shot on target. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Montenegro in the 34th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesario Irazu, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Montenegro came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Pipon Pipon's Jeremy Nicholas threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lanny Valle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
