Lucas Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Randall Stevens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 2nd minute Lucas Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lamar Arthur might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shaki Conn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lamar Arthur ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute Lucas Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Lucas Navarro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chard United's Randall Stevens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shaki Conn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Kennedy in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Kennedy in the 18th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Shaki Conn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chard United's Randall Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Navarro in the 25th minute of play. Ben Gilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randall Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Navarro in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Tracy Shah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, ForestFire's Ben Gilliam made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randall Stevens was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, ForestFire's Ben Gilliam broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Chard United's Martin Craven was substituted for Lamar Arthur. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Kennedy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Craven in the 56th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Shaki Conn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalton James kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Tracy Shah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Lucas Navarro lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Randall Stevens. Shaki Conn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Kennedy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute of the match Chard United got a corner. ForestFire's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lukasz Jazwiec ran over to the corner to take the kick. Martin Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Shaki Conn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chard United's Martin Craven got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lukasz Jazwiec took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shaki Conn. Shaki Conn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 82 minutes into the game, Lucas Navarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Randall Stevens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tracy Shah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Randall Stevens made a huge save. Lucas Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randall Stevens having to interfere. Jose Hoyt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Randall Stevens made a huge save.
