In the 9thth minute of the game Tio Lio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Lake Mohawk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Lucrețiu Gherase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Tio Lio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucrețiu Gherase. Lake Mohawk FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tio Lio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Tio Lio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucrețiu Gherase was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Preston Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Edgardo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucrețiu Gherase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 62nd minute of play. If Edgardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. In the 64th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Gherase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Roman Major recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucrețiu Gherase. Lucrețiu Gherase was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. New England Minas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
