With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merlin Castro in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Wilhelm saved Cascade Park West from getting behind. Merlin Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Merlin Castro put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Wilhelm. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amir Lee got free with Tigran Balayan in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Paulíny hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Khachatryan's Grigor Grigoryan was substituted for Tigran Kirakosyan. A collision led to Khachatryan getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Albert Paulíny hit a great ball. After having played for 50 minutes, Amir Lee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascade Park West's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amir Lee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolland Hobbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tigran Balayan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amir Lee in the 65th minute of play. Hu Wei Shu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Hu Wei Shu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Cascade Park West's Claude Joyner was substituted for Allen Dalton. Dario Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sung McKinley in the 87th minute of the match. Chad Busby hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Merlin Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Wilhelm having to interfere. 101 minutes had been played when some careless play by Khachatryan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Barlas Aydın was slow to take the kick. During this time Cascade Park West's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Waldo Renteria heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Khachatryan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
