After a defensive mix-up in Astrologer FC's zone, Trenton Long stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Landry came out of the goal and Trenton Long tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute Richie Arnold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jospeh McNally showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richie Arnold, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Gerardo Beard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Landry. Astrologer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerardo Beard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Arnold in the 19th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Beard made a kick off. After some careless play in the Astrologer FC defense, Dwight Schrute kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Landry. The Astrologer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Landry should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute, Alfred Mays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Beard in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Landry saved Astrologer FC from getting behind. The supporters of Astrologer FC booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Whitley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brooklyn SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
