Joaquim Vilar started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Silva in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilbur Hyde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Joaquim Vilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgardo Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilbur Hyde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilbur Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Silva in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. After 17 minutes of play, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilbur Hyde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wilbur Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 22nd minute of play. Wilbur Hyde came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Edgardo Silva. But to his dismay, Edgardo Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The El Canalla de Chicago players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New England Minas were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Major to maneuver through the defense. Wilbur Hyde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. New England Minas's Edgardo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilbur Hyde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Silva in the 62nd minute. El Canalla de Chicago's Cary Ackerman was substituted for Andreas Sanchez. New England Minas's Glen Conklin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wilfred Noel, made in the 67th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Lopez came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Tony Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tony Pacheco hit a great ball. In the 75th minute Domingo Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes El Canalla de Chicago's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Glen Conklin who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of New England Minas booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Shannon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Tio Lio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilbur Hyde. The goal made the score 0-4. Wilbur Hyde was a little too slow when Tio Lio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-5. El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save El Canalla de Chicago from getting a goal against them. New England Minas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
