Martins Palermo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martins Palermo in the 45th minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Illan in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Fecha Libre were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pilar FC's Martin Benítez was substituted for Luca Langoni. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martins Palermo made a kick off. Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Alejandro Gai fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilar FC's protests and gave Alejandro Gai a yellow card for diving instead. Sixto Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kandemir Ülkü, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fecha Libre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pilar FC.
