Sixto Luke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamiel Stessel in the 6th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Fecha Libre's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Hendrickx came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Pilar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Hendrickx to maneuver through the defense. Fecha Libre's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Hendrickx in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kandemir Ülkü. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Kandemir Ülkü took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Sixto Luke to make any attempt to save it. Emiliano Martínez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Hendrickx's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Candido Hendrickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Emiliano Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martins Palermo. In the 41st minute, Kandemir Ülkü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Pilar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aukusti Malinen to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Candido Hendrickx made a kick off. Fecha Libre's Emiliano Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Fecha Libre from getting a goal against them. When Martins Palermo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Fecha Libre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martins Palermo couldn't finish the play. Pilar FC made a substitution. Mikolaj Lodowy replaced Cristian Jenaro. Fecha Libre's Igli Tare was substituted for Martins Palermo. Pilar FC's Luca Langoni was substituted for Martin Benítez. Pilar FC's Nicanor Illan was substituted for Candido Hendrickx. In the 73rd minute Mikolaj Lodowy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Martínez made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Luca Langoni sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute of the game Eustacio Baldovino made a throw-in which Godofredo Lano played forward. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Lodowy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Langoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Emiliano Martínez made a huge save. Pilar FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Godofredo Lano in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on Pilar FC's corner Mikolaj Lodowy fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emiliano Martínez quite easily take care of the ball. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Lodowy in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Nicanor Illan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Emiliano Martínez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pilar FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
